Megyn Kelly Made a Really, Really Bad Choice
The American Thinker ^ | Jan 4 2007 | By Jay Valentine

News this week is that Megyn Kelly is off to NBC. Waiting to hear about the bidding war that clearly did not happen. Now starts Megyn’s decline into obscurity, remembered as someone who was a hot commodity for a very short while.

Until it all became about Megyn.

What Megyn, Greta, and other passing Fox celebs do not grasp is the importance of the Fox time slot.

When Greta departed, Brit Hume did a perfectly good job with news and commentary. Now Tucker Carlson is delivering an outstanding show with positive reviews from about everyone. Before that slot, Tucker was almost unknown nationally. Now Greta will be. The slot made her, and without it, she is going to learn that her audience has little personal affection for her. The slot, however, will do fine.

I hope Fox will put someone there like Sharyl Attkisson, who is a true reporter. Maybe she is FNC material. Fox will decide.

Over the next months, we can watch NBC make a large investment in launching the new Megyn shows, only to watch initial audiences peter away. Perhaps Megyn will end up with an Ashleigh Banfield-type show nobody watches, now that the novelty of Ashleigh eyeware has long worn off.

It’s Megyn. Who cares? At NothingButCommnists, she’ll feel right at home opposing the GOP mandate.

I can't see Megyn as “Oprah.”

She has no softness or empathy.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Greta was the best interviewer Fox had at the time.
She left as part of the fallout of Ailes ouster.
Brit did an awful job, neverTrumping all the way.
Tucker is terrific and should be given the 9 p.m. slot.
MeAgain Kelly made a really really good choice! I am sick of her arrogant, self centered, and petty attitude. I am equally sick of Strange Inheritance on FBC where I would switch whenever she came on.
Perfect choice to go to NBC (strutting peacock).
2017 is starting to look better and better with every passing day.
I have no idea who Ashleigh Bancroft is. Maybe an Ann Curry type, of Katie Curic or Josh Elliot. Just snowflakes that have melted.
At the risk of high jacking the thread:
Judge Jennine or Sharyl Attkison for replacement please
The person who wrote this is an idiot. Greta has been on TV hosting her own shows for decades. She chose to walk when Ailes left to take a break, see the world and reassess.
Likewise Tucker has been on TV for decades (he was a co-host on CNN's Crossfire) and has been a media personality through writing, editing (Daily Caller) and co-hosting Fox shows before he took over the 7 p.m. slot vacated by Greta.
After she made herself into the ice princess, she had no choice. Her time is up and she is on the way down.
Sharyl Attkison would be a remarkable choice.
Very nice.
NBC made a really bad choice. They do not need more shrill know-it-all harpies. Katie Couric is doing well this week, because she has a good personality compared to NBC's usual wenches.
JMHO
I dunno. Maybe if they dress her in lingerie. And pair her up with Jennifer Anniston. And hire some good comics to fill it up with funny one-liners....
Yes, she was becoming very, very annoying. FOX is better off without her.
Believe me, I am no fan of hers. But by all accounts she was hoping to be home for tucking her kids in more and NBC is a better fit for her anyway.
This article is pathetic.
GReta is showing her more liberal side since leaving Fox. She has even been pushing Samantha Power’s book! Rumors are she is going to MSNBC.
