As a former worker in the intel salt mines, I find one item very interesting: NSA has only moderate confidence in the assessment that Russia mounted an info ops effort to help Trump and undermine Clinton—when much of the “evidence” was (supposedly) derived through SIGINT.
NSA has been very late to the party on this one. Part of it is the nature of the agency and its culture. They leak when it suits their purpose, but they’re not a politically-fueled sieve like Langley. And you may recall that the FBI was slow to come around as well. Looks like the outgoing POTUS set the marching orders, and his cabana boy at the CIA, John Brennan, was only too happy to comply. Eventually, everyone was strong-armed into agreement (future budgets and new programs to worry about), but NSA’s “moderate” vote is telling.
Putting it mildly, moderate in the intel assessment game is not exactly a ringing vote of confidence. And trust me, there was a lot of pressure on DIRNSA to completely concur with Brennan and Comey.
CIA & FBI are clearly riddled with idiots and foreign agents of Soros/Saudi Barbaria. Both agencies need to be thoroughly purged. Thousands must go. And those that have been arming Jihadists in Middle East must go to prison.
There is one FACT that everyone ignores....Every darned country who supports liberal socialist policies have been trying to influence our elections for years! How many speeches have I seen from foreign leaders or editorials I have read from foreign press, or peace marches ect whose prime aim was to get the Americans to vote for liberals and against “war monger” evil conservatives and these things ovcer many election cycles!
To hell with the notions of Russian election hacking or now they are softening it to “state influence”...every country who ever wanted a piece of the American taxpayer has been trying to mind rape us...for every election for as long as we have been a country! That’s the dirty little secret no one wants to even consider! Sometimes thru spies, sometimes thru registered lobbyists and letter writing campaigns...it doesn’t matter the whole world wants to interfere in our elections to make them “world decided” elections as I’ve heard some progressive wackos describe them! If the Russians have been doing anything, they sure have been acting amateurish! HRUMP”PH GO TRUMP!
