AUSTIN (KXAN) A Texas medical researcher is raising concerns about a potential large-scale comeback of the measles.
Peter Hotez, Baylor College researcher, says Texas is on the verge of a measles out-break. The main reason is because parents are choosing not to vaccinate their children.

Why would parents need a measles vaccination?
We all task risks.
We all guard against risks.
Many foreign countries have more aggressive (for want of a better word) vaccination programs than we do.
It was optional
It was optional
Perry has also allowed parents to opt out of the program more easily.
Got that? It was optional.
Always was
Eh... I got measles from my older brother. My son got them at school. My daughter got them from my son. Many parents had measles parties back then. This hysteria is overblown.
Honestly it’s not even the toxicity of mercury or aluminum that concerns me (because of the low dose), but their intended action as making the immune system hyper-reactive. Could it cause immune related disease? I don’t pretend to have knowledge in this area, and don’t consider myself anti vax but wonder if this question has been studied enough
Measles are fun. They made my brother deaf in one ear.
But mumps were my favorite. Made me look like a chipmunk with a mouth full of acorns.
Who wouldn’t want their kids to go through that?
Fools.
measles could be deadly but I remember chicken pox partys.
If a mild strain is running around get it over with. build up that immune system, let yer kids eat mud pies
Sure, just keep simply saying “it was optional” a dozen posts, that’ll make it true. Literally everything online called it a “mandate”.
Meanwhile, I backed up my claim with a source and link.
stupid white liberals who read things they dont understand.””
Truer words are rare.
Thanks
Both my great grand parents were deaf
but it was not measles, they were dosed with coil oil in the orphanage
Science is s good thing
your source says it was optional
You never had measles? I sure did as did my brother and sister. You are generally immune once you’ve had it.
That's a pretty broad statement. Some vaccines are good things, when they're judiciously applied, taking into account the cost/benefit ratio involved in getting them.
ME “refugees” and illegals are bringing in strains of disease that we’re not prepared to fight off. I have a relative who immigrated here legally, and had to prove to be disease free before being allowed to immigrate.
I thought I made that clear.
They are an option and use them if you think the benefit outweighs the risk
I general I think the benefit outweighs the risk
Legal immigration does screen for communicable disease.
Illegal does not
Believe me they stick a microscope up yer butt in the legal line
Did anyone think of making the vaccine mandatory for refugees and illegals .... wait, don’t say it is because under federal rules when they cram Rs and Is into your schools system you can’t refuse them and can’t require proof of vaccination.
If we didn’t have a total incompetent fake doctor at the CDC he could have enlisted a class of high school freshmen to track the incidence of whooping cough, TB, Entervirus68, measles, mumps, etc. increases to a perfect correspondence with His Arrogance’s R & I dumping. Having identified this correspondence the CDC could have hired competent personnel to declare a health emergency and stop the distribution of these people until checked and vaccinated.
