Saudi Arabia and the other GCC states are the good guys, and along with Israel are our allies against the real threat.
Lumping them with Mexico and China is wrong and indicates misunderstanding of the issues
Saudi Arabia are not the good guys.

Uh -- whut?
Those places are hotbeds of radical Islamic terrorism.
Saudi and the gulf states are the ones that want to take over Syria for their gas pipeline. Russia interfered with their plans. Saudi is spreading radical Islam. Assad is more secular.
Israel is our friend. However, there is no conceivable universe in which Saudi Arabia is a "good guy" or a friend of the United States and its people. Our "friendship" with them has been self-serving, ill judged, and one-sided.
The Saudi Arabian state is the ultimate source for both funding and ideology for most of the radicalism in the Sunni Arab world including both Al Qaeda and ISIS. Saudi and Gulf State money has corrupted every level of Government in the US going back for decades- an utterly sickening and treasonous spectacle. The Bushes and their circle are some of the very worst offenders.
The struggle in the middle east is between (mostly Arab) Sunni fanatics and Persian Shia nut jobs and within each group. Neither is our friend. The more we disentangle ourselves from these monsters the better for both East and West.
Our intervention in the middle east of the previous decades has been a catastrophe for the US, Israel, and the Muslim world. We must lower our footprint in this region.
Saudi Arabia has been exporting Wahhabi Islam, the most virulent form of Islam, all over the world.
Funding jihad does not make them good guys.
