The murder rate is just about to go up.
I just watched the video. The kid had something in his right hand, it was shiny metal, don’t know what it was. When they shot him, he spun around and landed on the street on his right side. When he stopped moving, an officer moved toward him and kicked something out of his outstretched arm, but you can’t really see what it was.
The kid was in the middle of the street only a few feet from the police when he was shot. You can’t hear any sound except for the muted sound of the sirens in the police care that was following him. It was a cop in the street who shot him.
With just visuals, it’s really hard to tell exactly what was going on, and hard to tell what he was carrying in his hand. His left hand was either in a pocket, or holding his pants up so it’s hard to tell what was going on with that hand.
When the kid landed on the street after being shot, a puff of smoke erupted near the kid’s right shoulder. It’s hard to tell what caused that...a second shot by the police? The kid’s own (possible) gun going off? But guessing, it looks more like a second shot that missed the kid and smoked when it hit the tar.
Folks with the capacity to enlarge the vid, and take it a part frame by frame are in a better position than I to determine what was happening. The camera used was a dash cam on a police dashboard inside the cruiser.
