The article does say that Cohen re-started that group in 2015. I’ve been living a new life as a historian and archivist the last 20 years and haven’t been inside the intel business like I was. But this article and the Batchelor 1 hour interview was the Stephen Cohen of old.

He does sound sensible but if you get the chance to listen to him for any length of time - he loves to hear the sound of his own voice. He and she lived in the USSR for quite awhile so they walk the walk.
