Of course he expected a Trump reply. That was the whole point. Insult Trump and goad him into an insult of a genuine hero of the Civil Rights Movement. Had the Left thought of this three months ago they may have won, as this Trump reaction would gave been used to rouse Black voters which may have helped win Pa. and Mich. And whatever his opinions and attitudes today, Lewis was a genuine hero resisting the bigoted use of state power by Democrats.
