Members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) warn that repealing ObamaCare without an appropriate replacement would disproportionately hurt Latino families.
"First and foremost we need to protect and defend healthcare for the American people," Rep. Raul Ruiz (D-Calif.) told The Hill on Thursday.
House Republicans on Friday passed a measure to begin dismantling the Affordable Cart Act (ACA) through a process known as budget reconciliation, which can bypass a Senate filibuster.
Democrats are decrying the push to roll back the healthcare law, arguing there could be disastrous consequences for people with serious illnesses.
"We want to make sure that people who have diabetes, asthma, obesity no longer are discriminated against and face being denied health insurance or having to pay more health insurance," Ruiz said. "All those things we need to protect are on the chopping block with repealing the entirety of the Affordable Care Act."
Latinos have one of the highest rates of diabetes, asthma and obesity, and benefited disproportionately from a clause in the healthcare law banning denial of coverage due to preexisting conditions.

Yep, getting rid of ACA will definitely throw a massive wrench in the ongoing project to replace the American population with the far more compliant third-worlders who have no history of individual freedom.
Can’t wait to see the final tally on money saved from getting rid of the illegals. Could very well be on the upside of $500B a year when you add in all the subsidies direct and indirect.
The ACA is not health care, it’s health insurance with a deductible in the thousands. But illegals get free care.
Are the hispanic Dems warning only hispanic Latinos, or are they warning non-hispanic Latinos as well? And who is warning the hispanics that are not Latinos?

Those are the ones that you see crowding emergency rooms, using the ER for everything from primary care to OBGYN (everything but emergencies). They will continue to do so with or without Obamacare.
No one has proposed eliminating Medicaid.
The same reason that a Congressional Black Caucus exists - to secure special rights and privileges above and beyond those afforded to Whitey.
For the same reason that a group that calls itself La Raza ("The Race") screams "racism" at whites who oppose illegal immigration.
I work for a national taxi dispatching company. Our major market is LA and surrounding communities.
If you could see how many passengers are being transported to dialysis via public dollars (either local city programs or via their insurance companies - Medicaid/Medicare) you would need duct tape to hold your head together.
And I am talking trips that cost between $ 15-30 each way (home & back), multiple times a week....

Not to disparage any one group but I see a different MINORITY that has a problem with obesity....not going to name it but hasn’t Mrs. Obama gained at least 50-75 pounds since moving into the WH? Seriously, I have never seen Mexicans as HUGE as that other race~~~

Nice, my pills under Obamacare were 600 per month where under my old insurance plan were 10 dollars. They became 10 dollars on Obama care after I spent 7,500. With a 7,200 deductible I would never meet my deductible.

I doubt it; just think how many Hispanics have no verifiable income, which allows them to basically get subsidized plans.
From the reaction of the left’s core constituencies, it is clear they believe a “freebie” is being taken back.
