How many of the men who actually reached the Moon’s surface are still with us?

Shep Smith says he was the “final man to walk on the moon.” What does he know that we don’t?

Six remain, all the others have left us to walk amongst the stars.
We were giants back then .. perhaps it's not too late to be giants again . . .

"If they can put a man on the Moon..."
No, they can't. Not anymore.

I think Trump has reignited some piece of American Spirit. I truly hope you’re right, because the next generation of Giants may well walk on Mars or wrest wealth from the asteroids.

Farewell Captain Cernan. I just watched the documentary When We Left the Earth last week. A giant has passed.

After Apollo lunar missions died, so did America in many respects. After Apollo missions of the 60s and 70s the country too started to decline and die. We were told we need to pursue more important things here on earth. Nearly 50 years later, we see their results in every direction.

’ just saw this on the news... he was a kid when he went up in space (as we’re most if our space pioneers). Sad to see all of the “heroes of our yout” passing away...but that is life.
Thank you for your service.

"Shep Smith says he was the final man to walk on the moon. What does he know that we dont?"We can't afford it.
That's why today's astronauts need to hitch a ride with the Russians, and NASA has repurposed itself to Muslim outreach.

It seems as a nation, we are done with great things like moon travel.
Wars which used to be won in under four years, go on permanently.
And we still celebrate MLK day, in permanent “white guilt.”
I doubt we could get back to the moon in 15 years, let alone five or less like we did previously.
