Lewis skipped Bush inaugural too, said he was not president

But this is also part of a pattern. Lewis and Lee, along with some other Democratic lawmakers at the time, also boycotted to make a point when President George W. Bush was inaugurated in 2001. The Washington Post reported at the time that Lewis “thought it would be hypocritical to attend Bush’s swearing-in because he doesn’t believe Bush is the true elected president.”

Democrats spit on the peaceful transfer of power and have resisted the notion for decades.

Stole the 1960 election.
Worked to remove Nixon from office for a long time (before Watergate).
Worked to remove Reagan, had protests.
Bush (I) was considered as Reagan-Bush and efforts continued to remove him as well. Oliver Stoned planned an “expose” film but couldn’t raise sufficient funds and distribution in time for the 1988 election.
Staged national protests and support for Al Gore who refused for a month to concede the 2000 election.
Staged national protests and support for John Kerry who refused for 3 days to concede the 2004 election.
Worked to remove Bush from office.

And now the month long hissy fit to deny Trump the White House. Talks of coups (Rosie O’Donnell) and domestic terrorism to obstruct and cause chaos.
