I agree with your take on those pardons.
All of them were unforgivable and some of them were egregious.
The Constitution is already clear on immigration. Obama simply ignored the Constitution and the republicans did not have the guts to make him pay a price for it.
Used for payback. Trump should pardon Sirhan Sirhan.
No.
It should be limited to the day before the next election of the president.
Only that would avoid the lame-duck, purely political choices.
Let the sitting president and his party take the full brunt at the ballot box for their actions.
I don’t think it’s clear. It’s clear that we need to ‘control the border’. Well...what does that mean? But if you say 10,000 ‘refugees’, that is a HARD NUMBER. We need that.
All Presidential powers are dangerous when a democrat is in office.
But the law—the Constitution—says they can do the nutty crap that the do. The key is to keep the Constitution in mind when voting.
I’m just a little surprised Obama did not empty the federal prisons with commutations. Instead, he let only 1,700 go. And these were hard core, violent criminals.
Next time you talk to an Obama voter, thank him for putting more terrorists and criminals on the streets, and wish them that they move in next door to them.

Huh?
Do you intend to repeat that crap?
Uh, no.
What is the question? Do you disagree the Constitution gives the president commutation power?
Do you intend to repeat that crap?
What does this mean?
...and regulations should be simply rescind-able/voidable if made after Oct 1 of an election year.
This bit about spending the last 75 days more or less, completely unaccountable planting land mines for the next administration that you never will have to live with is clown-show.
I agree. I think the turnover should be 2 weeks max. It's not like you have to ride a horse 500 miles to get to Washington anymore.
