A MODEST PROPOSAL:
Their are 49 seats in the White House Press Room.
Give one seat to each major television network
Give one seat to each major Newspaper
The above will be mostly left wing.
Give an equal number of seats to conservative reporters, few they be.
The balance will be given by lottery to any accredited reporter.
When you come in the door the reporters will put their name in a hat. Names will be drawn from the hat and that reporter gets to ask a question. This will be the first 2/3s of the press conference. The last 1/3 the press secretary will call on individuals of his choice.
If you holler and act in an unseemly disrespectful manner you will be removed from further conferences and your network can not replace you for a suitable period of time.
