The government never should have been in the business of trying to tell people what to eat.

All education should be privatized and property taxes completely eliminated.

Property taxes pay for more than public schools.

I am not saying that getting rid of property taxes is not a good idea but you would have to find some other way to pay for township roads, fire departments, policing and other local services.

The government should never have been in the business of feeding people.

For starters, the federal government needs to get the heck out of the states’ schools. Education should be administered at the local level.

And the so-called healthy lunches were just set up as money-makers for the Obama administration’s cronies.

“”57% of black women are now obese, great job, Michelle!!!””

It sure appears to be true when observing them in public...OW! Wonder what Michelle’s excuse is for putting on what appears to be about 50# since she got to the WH. She was never small but heck - she wasn’t that huge starting out! The “wide load” label wasn’t attached to her for her small hips!

Good. Feed ‘em what they’ll eat; otherwise it’s just
wasted. - Michelle’s “lunches” didn’t look all that much
“balanced” to me & I’m no dietician.

“”I never had a “school lunch” and I come from a family of seven children.””

I never did either - always carried our lunches with milk in small glass jars (like a canning jar complete with rubber seal and bale) of which I still have two. Older than I am and that’s pretty old.

I talked my mother out of five cents one time in 1st or 2nd grade so I could buy “pink” milk at the cafeteria which was nothing but strawberry flavor but it sure appealed to me.

I loved the fish sandwiches at school, 25 cents. Just like McD’s. Rest of the week was Dinner Bell salami sandwiches.

In places like CA and NY the local politicians are even more ridiculously intrusive than the Feds. You are leaving those kids to the abuse of their local school boards and politicos’ bad ideas.

There should be some way to protect basic civil rights of Americans FROM local tyrants, rather than the Feds just backing away. Liberals didn’t hesitate to have the 9th Circuit strike down CA laws against illegal aliens to “protect” them from the will of CA voters.

Maybe the Supreme Court should restrict states and local school boards from interfering in what should be parental decisions such as lunches or mandatory indoctrination in politics or revisionist (fake) history or religion or specious scientific theories.

We did not have gym but until 7th grade, we had 2 recesses. I can remember only 2 overweight kids and they were just big and tall. I went from 1-12 grades at the same school. The 1-5 grades were in one building, the 7th and 8th grades were in the back of the school and 9-12 were in front of he school. The school was shaped like an H, on it's side. The crossline was the auditorium. It burned in 1973. A lot of memories were there.
