Trump is reaching an audience who has never heard his ideas. We are very familiar with his thoughts and policies. The ABC viewer knows him second hand. Most have never actually listened to him. This is very valuable time spent.

Every question and issue was framed from the liberal perspective. Not one question was posed about his cabinet picks, improving the economy, increasing jobs, or rebuilding our national defense. Trump has had a remarkably successful week so far, but you would never know if from listening to Muir. His whole line of questioning was relentlessly negative.
No matter what Trump says, his thoughts and views are always going to be misrepresented, distorted, and ridiculed by the media. There is nothing he can say that will resonate as truthful with them. They will always cast him as an evil conservative, just like they do with other Republicans. Liberals, be they in the press room or in the viewing audience, have no commitment to fairness or honesty. In fact, they feel just the opposite.
My view is that this was a waste of time because liberals are immune to logic, reason and facts. There is simply no way Trump can ever get them to acknowledge the validity of his arguments. Talking to a liberal is like talking to a wall, so don’t waste valuable time with them.
