I once wrote to President Reagan and got a signed portrait!

Sadly, we had a house fire (Christmas tree and old bulbs; had to drag my hysterical mother out of there; she wanted to get “the important papers” upstairs, where all of the black smoke was going. I was 15 and told my little sister to get to the neighbors and call 911).

Anyway, lost the portrait in the fire.

I wonder if people can still get them. I’ll have to look into it.

Photographer had to do it that way; if the light had come from above it would have bounced off that extra light makeup he puts under his eyes like a reverse raccoon mask.
My aunt used to do that to the spot under her eyes, too.

I do notice he no longer looks orange.
