Like the days of Noah, we may have an attempt to pollute the image of God in men, by seeing a race of part-”human” and part-animal people.

Exactly. It was the messing of the human genome that cause God to send the flood. Only Noah and his family were "perfect in their generations"- in their genes. Everyone else was drowned. If that part of you which makes you human is edited out- that thing that connects you to God disappears- then there is no hope for you, and poof. I think this is what the Mark of the Beast really is- to become a part of Satan's family.

Of Eve, God said- "Her seed will crush your seed." He's talking about genes. I think the Mark will be a lie- take this shot and get super powers, be transformed like a Marvel Superhero, but in reality, you'll become a monster. I don't think it's a coincidence that the Antichrist is also called "The Beast."- "The Animal."
