Mexico's government rebuked Israel on Saturday for a tweet by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that appeared to applaud U.S. President Donald Trump's plan to build a border wall with Mexico to keep out illegal immigrants.
Netanyahu said on Twitter earlier on Saturday: "President Trump is right. I built a wall along Israel's southern border. It stopped all illegal immigration. Great success. Great idea."
The comment was swiftly rejected by leaders of the Jewish community in Mexico, and prompted an unusually blunt statement from Mexico's foreign ministry.
"The Foreign Ministry expressed to the government of Israel, via its ambassador in Mexico, its profound astonishment, rejection and disappointment over Prime Minister Netanyahu's message on Twitter about the construction of a border wall," the ministry's statement.
"Mexico is a friend of Israel and should be treated as such by its Prime Minister," it said, noting that Foreign Minister Luis Videgaray expressed his deep affection for Israel in an event marking Holocaust memorial day on Friday.
Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman Emmanuel Nahshon said on Twitter Netanyahu had been referring to his country's "specific security experience" and that Israel was not voicing an opinion on U.S.-Mexican relations.

Have the Mexicans forgotten that they have the same problem on their southern border with Guatamala and Belize that we have on our southern border with them?
Have they forgotten that they built some sections of a border wall on their southern border to keep out illegals, drugs and weapons from Central America?
Have they forgotten that they have very tough immigration laws? Much more restrictive than ours with much more severe punishments.
If our senators and congressmen had any backbone at all they would make a copy of Mexico’s immigration law and pass it into law for anyone entering the USA from Mexico.
I find it ironic that Mexico and Nieto is not defending Mexico. Only embracing victimhood and enjoying it’s status as a failed nation that her own citizens can’t even stand. Nieto is admitting Mexico is a failed state and would be even worse if not for the USA.

To make sense of what the President/officials of Mexico just said about Israel, take two Tacos and call someone in the morning.
On second thought, just eat two Tacos and don’t call anyone. People know the government of Mexico is “muy loco” when they talk about their humane policies (aka a good case of The Mexican Hypocrisy Trots) and don’t take them seriously.
The Mexican people have suffered for decades due to the hypocrisy, corruption and deliberate blindness of their government, so I’ll cut them some slack.
I’ll bet the Pres. Nieto comes around to a compromise with President Trump because Trump is the master of “The Art of the Deal”. Nieto is the master of hypocrisy.

This is quite funny coming from Mexico, because they have a Southern border wall too!! Hypocrites.
Trump should jokingly say he’s building the wall to keep the Hollywood elite from fleeing to Mexico because he knows they would use stunt doubles to climb over a fence.
Since Mexico is so against walls, we should offer to dismantle their southern border wall for them....
