Stopped right there.
>The Syrian regime has resorted to the ridiculous excuse that al-Qaeda-affiliated terrorist groups are in control of Ain al-Fijeh, a small town in Wadi Barada. This despite locals reporting only a tiny minority of such elements being present. It is thus crystal clear that neither Assad, nor his Iranian masters, have ever sought a meaningful ceasefire in Syria.
Hey, only a few of us terrorists are Al Qaeda. You know, just like Mohamand and Amed over there. Pinky swear the rest of are not!
If we have a Syrian “Expert” reading this thread perhaps we could get a short tutorial on what ties Syria to Iran.
And specifically comment on the risk to that relationship from a U.S.-Russian coalition leading the Kurds, the Syrian and Iraqi armies (and minus Turkish or Iranian elements) in a war to the end to eliminate ISIS and al Qaeda and the like from Syria and Iraq.
Seems to me that this would greatly diminish the Iranian influence in Syria, serve Israeli interests, hurt Hamas and The Saudis and Palestinian terrorists and generally ease tensions in the Middle East.
Is this crazy?
