Mayor Andy Ginther countered President Donald Trump's executive order with one of his own.
The mayor said Columbus will be a welcoming place for immigrants and refugees and city resources won't be used to enforce immigration laws.
The executive order comes just days after Trump banned immigrants from seven majority-Muslim nations. That ban led to large protests over the weekend at John Glenn International Airport.
About 50 protesters demonstrated outside City Hall Monday evening calling on Columbus to designate itself a "sanctuary city". Ginther's executive order stops short of that but the protesters said they supported the steps he took.

One more Mayor and his city that can have their Fed Funds cut off. What with the saving of all this money it should be easy to find a way to finance the southern WALL.

The sooner one (or more) of these leftist politicians are indicted, tried, convicted, sentenced, and publicly hanged for giving aid and comfort to the enemy, the sooner we have a precedent for taking care of the rest.
Why isn’t refusing to enforce the law a criminal offense? They are stealing their salaries.

Please someone inform President Trump this will do nothing. Soon all these cities, counties, and States will ban together and President Trump will have lost the battle. Tougher response than just funds will have to be done or a Civil War will happen.
