I remember Greg Gutfeld being particularly obnoxious (even more than usual) about Trump. He seems to have been able to slide back into the fold, no apologies offered. And I remember Steve Hayes calling President Trump “some orange guy”....as arrogant as anyone. When I hear them speak favourably of the president now, I feel like they have no business commenting without admitting they were not only wrong, but harmful.

I'm especially disappointed with Thomas Sowell. He ended his long career on a very bad note. He basically flushed all his prior accomplishments down the toilet by leaguing himself with the "Never-Trumper" movement.
Alright, we can hold it against them, but otherwise, I dont care, as long as we are all on the same page, pushing for the same thing. Anything else is petty squabbling.
Ah yes. I used to like Ralph Peters (is that his name?). I haven’t seen him of Fox lately - maybe he’s curled up in a corner somewhere with Glenn Beck and Samantha Bee.
GOPe “SCABS”
Who is that?
Good Post! It seems Sundance has been a little scarce of late but your post shows he’s back in good form. Thanks!
I would ask Sundance to pen something more.
I would ask him to write conditions for the #NeverTrumpers to meet that we could agree to for accepting them back into the fold, conditions that convince the Trump Movement they have learned and are sincerely apologetic.
It may take them months, perhaps years to do the convincing, but it would be handy to have on our end a list of our demands and standards for us to hold out for them to meet.
I write this because there is a sense that our President wants unification. So there’s a suggestion for Sundance and a task for him to take up.
I forgot about Peters....I really do think he shocked me the most. Now, when he comes on TV, I change channel.
Thank you. I agree.
I do the same thing (change channels) when he comes on ;)
I don’t know if some of these people did end up voting form Trump. They did so much damage that I refuse to listen to any of them now. (I do make exception to Katie Pavlich...sometimes I will listen to her; not sure why)
Dana Loesch had/has such a hateful attitude. How stupid of her, as a NRA spokesperson, to think a Ciinton Admin would not be taking her precious guns away.
Now is not the time to harden their, or our, hearts in opposition. They will come around, and we ought to encourage that. Many of us were initially skeptical of Trump, what conservative wasn’t? I still don’t agree with everything he says or does, but I didn’t agree with everything Reagan said or did either.
The bottom line is, I voted for him reluctantly as the lesser evil of the two available options, but he has won me over through his actions. Why was I so slow to come on board? A small but vocal, and often obnoxious segment of his supporters bear a great deal of the responsibility for pushing me, and many others, away.
Remember Reagan’s words: The person who agrees with you 80 percent of the time is a friend and an ally not a 20 percent traitor. Live that, and bring those people around, don’t ostracize them. That is how we build the coalition necessary to retain power now that we’ve won it.
Chris Stirewalt, with his mocking smile, joking and laughing with MeAgain Kelly. He had such a good time with her smearing Trump. Can’t stand the sight of him.
Gutfeld and Perino are the reason I quit watching the Five. I can understand Beckel and Juan’s rhetoric against Trump, after all that is their job. They are honest. But Gufeld and Perino are both fakes, whichever way the wind blows. At times I think Perino is more democrat than republican.
Stephen Hayes was a major disappointment. I used to have so much respect for him, Brit Hume and Rich Lowery.
It’s as if the world has turned upside down and people are not who you think they are.
Ping ...
If I was more distant from this, I would probably say a detailed, sincere, contrite formal apology would go a long way toward my acceptance of them back “into the fold.” But it should be treated as “probationary,” because too many of these people appear to have evil, opportunistic motives and hearts.
It seems they all turned into new David Brocks. As you know, he was a Republican, at one time, too.
Thank you for posting this.
No George Will in that group?
Here's the disgraced, choke-worthy, metrosexual, weasel that ran it into the ground and tried to sabotage the election.
They'll go broke or need to rely on hushed infusion bribes to stay afloat. Good. F--k them.
I for one am happy that Cruz agrees. Wouldn’t want it any other way.
