I understand from listening to Rush this morning that the Old Media has all of sudden -
after EIGHT LONG years of reporting unemployment data under their Lord and Savior - have just discovered there are alternate data sources of unemployment data - namely U6 and the ones conservatives and economists have known about forever, but ignored by the agenda driven propaganda media that contol disemination of public consumption of RAT data.
Labor Force Participation Rate
Data extracted on: February 3, 2017 (1:41:44 PM)
Series Id: LNS11300000
Seasonally Adjusted
Series title: (Seas) Labor Force Participation Rate
Labor force status: Civilian labor force participation rate
Type of data: Percent or rate
Age: 16 years and over

The unemployment percentage is less than 10%? What criteria are they using?

When unemployment REALLY takes a plunge it will NOT be reported by the “mainstream” media or if they simply cannot avoid reporting it it will be presented as the result of things Obama did and it will be said to have happened IN SPITE OF the actions of Donald Trump.

Retail, restaurant jobs. Not the kind of jobs meant to sustain a living.

Retail, restaurant jobs. Not the kind of jobs meant to sustain a living.Retailers, construction firms, financial companies and restaurants led the way in hiring in January, the government said Friday.
Seems you had some creative editing.
Some retail jobs can pay fairly well.

Even
IF 227,000 were retail and restaurant jobs, that many hirings in those fields denote one thing...
People are spending money

Retail and restaurant work doesn’t account for all of the jobs created, but it’s leading the way. The jobs report has been a target of a lot of dishonesty and manipulation for the last 8 years, and I’m still a skeptic.
