I think Ginsberg was looking forward to having 2-3 years in the majority and then retiring. Now she won’t likely ever be in the majority and has to wait at least 4 maybe 8 years before she can retire.

There's no doubt in my mine that Ginsburg's work is being done for her by her legal clerks and staff, that she's a figurehead only, and that she will stay on as long as she's able to make it to her office and sit erect in the banc during SCOTUS hearings....without falling asleep.

I have seen numerous photos of her sound asleep while she and the other justices are saying, “cheese.”

Which is why I am not thrilled by lifetime appointments for judges or any for thaat matter. If government forces me to part with my IRA at age 70-1/2, all those sucking government checks should be required to retire at 70-1/2.

Stephen Breyer turns 80 next year. RBG is 84. The Wise Latina is 62. Kagan is 56.
Kennedy is 80. Alito is 66. Thomas is 68. CJ Roberts is 62.
Kennedy (so it is said) wants out. I have some concerns about Thomas’ health.
Kagan and Sotomayor will be there for 20+ years. Breyer and RBG should go, but not necessarily before 2020. RBG had colon cancer but is apparently cured.

Didn’t she fall asleep at the inauguration? Her head was down in the inauguration picture. One day, someone will notice she’s been missing a week and find her slumped over her desk. They’ll leave her there, turn down the A/C and not tell Trump.

Boy Thomas looks older than 68.
As or RGB, she’d be 92 at the end of Trump’s two terms.
People can live to 100 these days and as long as the mind doesn’t go, can probably work into their 90s.
