A mysterious sickness is causing a growing crisis at a North Arlington junior high school. The principal has been replaced; however, as many as 60 teachers and an untold number of students have reported a similar sickness while at the school. Teachers and students from Nichols Junior High have all reported a similar sickness, including dizziness, nausea and difficulty concentrating. It is reported that many teachers have passed out during class. According to sources, some are refusing to return to work, while others request immediate transfers. Some teachers have even begun to hold classes outside, for the safety of the students.

My guess would be nitrogen. I worked in an advanced propulsion facility for four years. I had the same described symptoms, we used a lot of nitrogen as a purge gas. I had a cat-scan, thinking I had a brain tumor, no problems. I connected the dots.
“What chemical smells like dirty socks? (which is how the smell has been described)”

This is classic, textbook mass hysteria.
Many, many cases - mostly schools, BTW.
I just did.
Textbook.
Bug spray can bring on the same symptoms.
Thanks for the link on artificial turf causing cancer.
Michael Savage has warned about this for years as illegals bring in these infestations.
A few years ago Nichols Junior High had a similar 'outbreak'. The thing is, at that time, the school was in a completely different building, a few hundred yards from the current location. The current Nichols Junior High should be considered all new construction, as the old school was razed to the ground during the construction of the new building. The only thing the same is the demographic makeup of the student body and the teachers.
As you say, classic.
I don’t know who you are, but I live in the Nichols attendance area, and what you wrote is completely untrue.
You must be thinking of another school.
The Nichols building was built new on newly-purchased land, and first opened in the fall of 1993, IIRC. I was there. Students and teachers have been in that same building ever since. Nothing has been razed.
The current problems started last fall. Students and teachers got sick. The illnesses persisted, whether through contagion (viral or bacterial) or perhaps environmental.
Over Thanksgiving break the school was scrubbed top to bottom and completely disinfected. Complaints of illness continued.
The school district has called in the EPA as well as a variety of independent environmental consultants, and seems to be doing all they can to discover if there is indeed some pathogen or contaminant and, if so, what it is.
Mass hysteria cannot be ruled out at this point, although there is no doubt that what started last fall was genuine illness.
I have no connection to the school other than proximity, but I do know those who are close to the situation.
As for the UNT professor who was denied entry, do a little research. She has viewpoints and opinions, and that’s all I’ll say about that.
Could it be that GOD is purging the teacher’s union?
Maybe it’s the illegal criminals, with a new gift of ‘love’
