I don't understand the delay.

The earliest possible time was a few minutes after the judge issued his rulling.

The Justice department isn't exactly some resource starved, broken down, two man law firm in a cellar office waiting for the copier repair guy.

And it's not as if they couldn't anticipate these attacks and have prepared for them in advance.

the judge’s ruling was patently illegal and DJT should have NO trouble getting it overturned QUICKLY
... I will be very surprised if he doesn’t get this done today, actually...
you and I would seldom try to call a judge on a weekend but the President or Attorney General certainly would not hesistate to get a new order on a Saturday ..especially since national security is in danger
