Judges should ban the president’s immigration reform to ensure that high-tech companies can continue hiring foreign workers instead of American professionals, says a new courtroom brief submitted by almost 100 technology companies. The White House’s Jan. 27 immigration reform “threatens companies’ ability to attract talent, business, and investment to the United States,” says the legal brief by the companies, who include many Silicon Valley firms. The signers include Google, Facebook, Microsoft, Twitter, Reddit, Paypal, Netflix, Lyft, and TaskRabbit, which helps wealthier people hire other people to do household chores.

OK, answer this — How does VETTING people coming from Yemen, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Sudan, Libya and Somalia affect Silicon Valley employers?
What kind of high tech people do you need from these countries? ( unless you consider innovative bomb makers and ballistic missile scientists something that you need )?

The same types argued a century and a half ago how the cotton supply would suffer due to republican social reforms.
So how many workers are coming from those seven terrorist counties?
Also, after the Obama administration designated those seven countries as the most dangerous sources of terrorists, why is it OK to say it’s because they are Muslim majority?

A lot of the CEO’s running these American companies are foreigners themselves. Some have been naturalized but not born here.
This is why many of these corporations are pushing for more non-Americans. They actually hate Americans and want to exploit America as much as possible. None of them have an ounce of loyalty to this country.
How many “workers” do they hire from Mexico and South America? Or from inner city ghettos? Oh, I get it. People from those areas are too dumb. The racist bastards.

Correct. President Trump wants to institute vetting that will prevent terrorists from entering the country. Does silicon Valley want terrorists in this country? Is there any other reason to oppose vetting of terrorists?
Exactly so. Disney is one of the biggest offenders of the H1B Visa abusers.
The H1B Visa was supposed to be for technical professionals that we didn’t have or had in short supply.
But companies like Disney, Microsoft and practically ALL the Silicon Valley consortium have abused the system to fire Americans and hire foreigners at half or less the salary that the Americans had. That is UN-AMERICAN TO THE MAX. They ought to be ashamed, and shamed in public by Trump called out by name!.............
The H1B visa has been HUGELY abused, because there are way more than enough STEM graduates with US citizenships available for all the jobs that these employers claim they have.
The program should be discontinued with any immigration reform, as one of the top priority imperative mandates.
True, and I would support that, but what about these companies coming in now to produce jobs for Americans? They would turn on President Trump and America in a flash of an eye and he knows this and so do we...
I remember growing up on the farm, we had people from Mexico helping us with the produce, (we grew for Green Giant) and they were housed, had every comfort of life...you know why we did this, because our government back then said that American workers wouldn’t pick the produce...unless they were paid as a CEO of a company...
This is still the mentality of the Corporation of America today...Americans belong to Unions, Unions want money, not for the workers but for themselves, and so Corporations go ‘outside’ the Country to get cheaper labor...
