So the law which permits “birthright” citizenship has to either be changed, or correctly interpreted. Until we do so those children of foreigners are as American as our own.

I’ve heard arguments both ways, bad interpretation or bad law. Since I’m not a lawyer or a judge I can’t say which is correct. If it has to be changed those born here already will be grandfathered as ex post facto laws are a no-no.

Whether they are citizens or not is another issue. The primary issue is to keep families intact, and thus the children should be kept with their family and deported along with them.
