Oh, I know. People say, “Yeah, and your parents hated Elvis, or Def Leppard, or whatever.” No, it really is different. Music now is disposable even to the people who like it. “That song is so last summer!”
And, of course, I’m sure there are little pockets of real rock music being made by really talented people, but it’s not mainstream and only the people who happen to be clued in know about. I don’t even hear about Chickenfoot and even the Foo Fighters any more.
