He was trying to stop refugees from certain countries, but it was spun into a Muslim ban.

Now he can cap all refugees at 35k, then issue EOs to allow certain countries to exceed the limit - don't think the courts can stop that.

Yeah — seems like a good idea to me. I have been in the camp and just shutting down immigration for a while.

The courts have no ability to enforce their decisions and they presume an authority that FAR exceeds what the framers intended.

Since Obunghole has already done so and precedent has been set - ignore them. Rather than soften the blow to the left I say kick them in the teeth. In the long run I think this approach might lessen the chance for civil war rather than increase it.
