It turned most of the underwriting to be done by DC and the paperwork put most small banks out of business. It was a complete boondoggle.

Pray America woke

The Damned Dodd-Frank obscenity was an absolute DISASTER

Yeas it is but it is a great windfall for the democrats. It was easy to force banks into policies that do not make any sense at all and if refused they would be subject to huge fines and penalties.

Not sure this is a good thing. More _money-from-thin-air_ and empowering of the largest debt creators; less reserves required for them. More money from nothing. More debt.

Lots of judges believe that they are omnipotent and heretofore they effectively were. I would expect some judge to issue a Stay shortly. I think and hope that Mr. Trump is using all the presumptions of these lefty judges to cut the courts down to Constitutional size.

Curb your enthusiasm. It’s one provision.

True, but that wasn't the ONLY thing it did.

It stopped companies going to the NYSE to have IPOS and sent them to the European exchanges; IF they even went for the IPO at all. So in fact, is took money out of America ( off-shoring for no reason ), by action AND inaction, stalled companies from expansion, stopped new jobs being created, kept regular people from getting new jobs, and so much more!

There's SO much in the damned Dodd-Frank, that it's head spinning.

I have a friend who closed a small but profitable bank two years ago because Dodd Frank made the sale of the bank tons of regulations for such a small bank, nearly impossible. This was a small regional bank in a small town for over 100 years. Sad.

Sometimes progress comes too late.

Indeed, Reince has not been seen for quite some time.
Perhaps, Chris Christie may take the helm.
Despite his baggage, at least he has experience at running a state government apparatus.
Reince was a brilliant party chairman but I think he bit off more than he could chew. Wish he could resume some role at the RNC to lead the GOP to a super majority next year which would make President Trump’s enormous job considerably easier.

I work in the banking industry, in IT. The regulations and their costs to implement are positively crushing.
