Members of Congress expressed alarm that all undocumented immigrants in the U.S. are at risk of deportation. They said this was made clear to them in a meeting Thursday with a top Immigration and Customs Enforcement official.

There are approximately 11 million unauthorized immigrants in the U.S.

Congressional Hispanic Caucus Chairwoman Michelle Lujan Grisham said that she and other lawmakers left a meeting with ICE Acting Director Tom Homan with a sense that with changes ordered by President Donald Trump through his executive orders, "all immigrant communities are at risk."

Rep. Lucille Roybal-Allard, D-Calif., said in a statement that, "in effect, every undocumented person in America is now vulnerable to arrest and removal as a result of the president's orders."

Jennifer Elzea, an ICE spokeswoman, said in a statement that Homan emphasized in the meeting that ICE "does not conduct arrests indiscriminately" or use checkpoints. Instead, officers target preidentified individuals for arrest at specific locations based on law enforcement leads."

But he also said that when officers encounter individuals in the U.S. in violation of federal immigration laws, they make arrests. "Every arrest is made on a case by case basis," Elzea said....

Does the Census bureau agree with the 11 million number?

Let the self-deportations commence, and get them off EBT and other bennies, pronto.

Yup. That stupid number has been around for decades. The number is more like 50 million. Anyway, let the unwashed use that number for their argument.

Shouldn't the “lawmakers” be more concerned about citizens? Why are they so worried about non-Americans?

Yippee! That’s exactly as it should be. (We can still allow for a few genuine humanitarian hardship cases but the millions of islamics especially need to go home pronto! Then we can negotiate something better with Mexico our neighbor. But for G’s sake send the Moslems home and keep them out of USA! They have already taken over and conquered 57 countries by this mass- invasion strategy. Them that refuse to learn from history are condemned to repeat it. Just look at what’s happening to France Germany Belgium Italy right now! 20 cities in France right now are aflame with Moslem riots and car torchings light up the night skies

The Democratic Party is adopting and being identified with a one world/no borders policy of free and unrestricted migrations. They when in power have no intention of enforcing border security or immigration laws. The next five Federal elections will decide the fate of America. If somehow the Trump administration fails economically and the people restore the Democrats to power, America will be forever and grievously transformed.

Illegal aliens have always been at risk of deportation under the law. Under Obama they were imported.

They need to make the point that with less illegals that it will force employers to pay a “living” wage. In order to get the employees they need.

Rep. Lucille Roybal-Allard, D-Calif., said in a statement that, "in effect, every undocumented person in America is now vulnerable to arrest and removal as a result of the president's orders."

Correct. Why? Because they are foreigners who have broken a perfectly reasonable, Constitutional law. What is amazing is that, in modern day America, Rep Roybal-Allard's observation is in any way controversial.

The Left (and the deluded constituencies dwelling on their "entitlement" plantation) have become so utterly detached from objective reality and the rule of law, that they see such unambiguous common sense as something outlandish and threatening.

Foreign invaders don't have any right to make unlawful border incursions into our country and then live here; there are no "squatter's rights" for illegal aliens.

Yeah, with every corner of the country now awash with wetbacks it is clear the 11 million is total BS. There is probably close to that in California alone.

I haven’t heard one of them demand or even request reciprocal treatment from other countries.

All illegal aliens ARE subject to deportation according to the LAW.

So far the administration is only committing to deporting criminal illegal aliens.

DACA continues unabated.

The Census Beauru directly contradicts the 11 million illegals number

In the 2000-2010 time frame the US population went from 260 million to 307 million

The majority of the population increase was attributed to “immigration” by the Census

Legal immigration was capped at 500k per year which accounts for up to 5 million of 47 million

It it upsets them so, and if they feel the American people want it, "lawmakers" can stop this tomorrow if they, you know, changed the laws. Trump is just enforcing the ones that exist now.

But they know that actual voters hate this "more illegals at all costs" crap they've been trying to shove down our throats for at least 17 years now.
