Let’s see...you are a Mexican in Mexico and you don’t show up for work, for a ridiculous reason. I think you’d be fired. You are Mexican and illegally here in the U.S., you hold a job and you don’t show up for work to protest that you are being treated like the illegally-present-in-a-foreign-country perp that you are. And you are fired. What’s the problem, besides you being in my country without welcome?

Hold on - the article doesn't say that these particular workers were illegals.

If not, then they were protesting so that SOMEONE ELSE could be illegal safely.
