That was by design. If Colmes held a liberal show on MSNBC and Hannity was his conservative sidekick, Holmes would destroy him every night too. It is simply entertainment.

Very conservative friend was a frequent caller to Colmes’talk radio show, became friends and attended his wedding. Says he was a really nice guy. Rest in peace.

He said some stupid liberal things at times, but yes, he was one of the more palatable libs, with a fairly calm demeanor, and in interest in debating specifics. A former standup comic, he could be funny at times.
