World Magazine reported that there were 721 murders in Chicago during 2016. That means living in Chicago seems as or more dangerous than the wars in Iraq or Afghanistan. Over 14 years there were 4,486 deaths in the former and 2,231 deaths in the latter. In only four years in Iraq did deaths exceed Chicago and those in Afghanistan never did.
