“Suleiman the Magnificent” was a ruler of Ottoman Empire who died in September 6, 1566.

A famous earlier Muslim leader was the Kurdish officer Saladin (Salah Ed-Din) who overcame the Christians in Jerusalem. He died on on March 4, 1193.

Some have confused the two rulers.

There was an odd ceremony that allowed removal of Suleyman Shah remains to be removed from Northern Syria. It took place about 2 years ago if I remember correctly. Turks were allowed to send a force to the grave site in Syria and remove the remains.
