And I thought Christians wanted Justice more than power. I thought the will to power, like the self-serving president for Putin seeks, was a product of his amoral nihilistic days. It turns out he’s just a well-meaning Christian.

"Christians love the absoluteness of Divine power and authority. We will always gravitate towards a man (men are featured in the Bible) that exercises power and authority if we believe it is a righteous man for a righteous cause."

You respond obliquely to my comment.

I said Christians love, not want, Divine power AND Authority, and I followed that with the explanation that we will gravitate towards a man that has those qualities.

It's actually taught in the scriptures that the man is to be like Christ and the woman in submission, a picture of the church AND a picture of the world.

There is no perfect man, but some men command attention (it's called "presence" ) just by emulating Godly qualities.

Godly qualities are not only the meekness and love of God, but His authority as well.

The books you love and read by dead men are just as "powerful" because anything that influences or changes the way a man thinks by altering his thought processes is as powerful as God Himself .... Who desires to do the same thing.
