It did not last long.
Reagan, as Executive of the Federal government, got away with firing unionized federal air traffic controllers.
I wonder if a Governor, as Executive of the state government, can get away with firing his unionized state employees ?
MCCARTER & MORRISON are tops in my book. Our district’s SEN. TIM BIVINS is also good, but he hasn’t introduced many bills.
I glanced at your profile. Do you STILL support him, or do you need to change your choice to TRUMP?
As far as RAUNER goes, he is more than eager to sign any bill that goes against family values. I put him up with the FORMER SEN. MARK KIRK.
I think that Trump is good, but I wish that he was more conservative. I’ll change my profile, tonight.
I agree about Rauner and Kirk. Most of the time that Kirk was in the U.S. House, I lived in his district, and I never voted for him.
Is your area in line to reap the ‘benefits’ of gambling expansion?
I cannot believe an amendment was passed yesterday in the SB7 - MEGA GAMBLING-VARIOUS BUNDLE that will give the city of Chicago a city-owned casino with a perpetual license that cannot be revoked or suspended!
I don’t know where the new casino will be. I’ll research that, this week.
In addition to the CITY OF CHICAGO CASINO there will be casinos in: Chicago, Rockford, Danville, Lake County, south suburbs of Chicago, Williamson County and 4 casinos at racetracks.
Thanks for telling me. I live in Wheeling, about two miles from Lake Co. Since Des Plaines has a casino, I live about 10 miles from that one. I haven’t been there.
The LAST thing our area needs is a casino. No jobs. Property values dropping. Aging population. Drugs and gang violence on the increase. Unbelievable.
