Student Loans: When President Obama came into the White House eight years ago, he promised a "New Era of Responsibility." It didn't work out that way, particularly for student loans, leaving President Trump with a huge mess to clean up.
In fact, when it comes to borrowing for college, students are being utterly irresponsible.
A recent survey by LendEDU of 500 current college students found that 49.8% of them think that the federal government will forgive their loans after they graduate.
"In reality," LendEDU's Mike Brown notes, "a very small percentage of graduates will even qualify for Public Service Loan Forgiveness. It is worrisome that current students may be over-borrowing on the hope that their student debt will be forgiven in the future."
Worrisome, indeed, particularly given that the amount federal student loan debt is currently $1.3 trillion, and rising fast.

All the snowflakes that get their student loans forgiven will eventually figure out their free college degree in theatre was worth every penny. Sadly it will then be too late.
They may get the money for the degree, but they’ll never get back the wasted time.
It’s not an unreasonable expectation if:
a) the current coup succeeds, and
b) they work for the government, and have impeccable political creds.
Considering the mathematically certain fact that exactly half of the human population on this planet possess sub-average intelligence, it shouldn’t surprise that this equally applies to a sub-population like American college students.
Guess what? You low-life scumbags are the ones saying, “Not My President” and protesting for Soros while getting paid big bucks to set flags and buildings on fire, turn over polie cars, looting places, beat up people who disagree with your opinion (us REAL taxpayers) while shooting us the finger and being very disrespectful. We who pay for all the “benefits” you want say, “NO more”. Take your Warbucks Daddy Soros money and pay for your own damn college. We are no longer going to fund your education that creates utterly disgusting, vile, and spoiled brats who think they are entitled to anything their heart desires. It’s time for you to suffer so you’ll grow up. It’s for the best.
Only the cream of the crop should enter college. It does not mean that the others are bad people, and they can make great contributions to society.
Additionally, my daughter and her husband will be really pissed if they start forgiving loans. They paid off $60,000 is student loans in three years by eating beans and rice.
I like beans and rice.
The rioters and SJW’s should have their interest raised to 100%, as well as have to pay the full cost of education. That can be over $100,000 a year with interest at 100%.
They are going to find out that Soos and his actvist trainerx never gave a rat'$ a$$ about them or their country. They will see Iit in ruins by their own hands and wonder why life sucks so bad. No jobs worth their education, no houses or cars they can afford, everything regulated and restricted because of leftist's meddling, and a country heavily controlled and moitired by Muslims and and their controllers. I think it can be stopped with someone like Trump in office if he can get the lefties off of Soro's teat.
