If no probable cause can be shown, then it was an illegal act subject to prosecution.

Exactly... and while some in the MSM are still demanding proof from Trump, it’s up to Obama to show proof of probable cause. Pretty high bar when we’re talking about a presidential candidate of the opposite party.
