Oh indeed, but this species takes it to the extreme. They normally talk with secretion, at least to show emotion. So when they somehow learned English, they speak with an emotion first. Like this: “Surprised. Why did you do that?”
They also speak in monotone. So it makes for a memorable, but somewhat annoying story dialog.
