I think it has a lot to do with how phrases the question using modern propaganda tactics. They usually get the answer they are seeking by the way they set up the question.

"I are confused."Not at all. Polls of "human beings" versus "likely voters". Live pollsters versus anonymous polling. Denizens of the swamps, in DC and elsewhere, approve of Trump in the same sense that crawfish approve of a pot of boiling water.
Trump is very definitely exceeding my own expectations!
