I don’t understand what the controversy is on how to repair the shortcomings of the Secret Service and especially this event. Fire everyone who was responsible. The average sheriff’s office across the country can do better without any specialized training.

New sign on the fence every so many feet - "anyone jumping this fence will be shot on sight". Then follow through and do it the next time someone comes over the fence. The same policy would stop illegal border crossings dramatically.
