NBC Reporter Fears London Terror Will ‘Put Wind in the Sails’ of ‘Right-Wing Movement’

During MSNBC’s live breaking news coverage of the suspected terrorist attacks in London on Wednesday, NBC News reporter Matt Bradley reported via phone from the British capital and was more worried about the violence helping conservative politicians than he was about the victims: “We've seen this rise of a kind of a right-wing movement here and throughout Europe. And this is only going to put wind in the sails of those who would say that this is an issue that needs to be looked at, that needs to be examined in terms of refugees.”

The winds have been blowing sweet and true, from directly astern, since November.

And those among us who have functioning brain cells worry that this kind of development will put wind in the sails of the Islamic terrorist movement.

Most of the media seems to be genetically programmed to hate their own Western societies and law abiding citizens.

That's because most of the media resides in New York, where hating the less fortunate members of your own race is a common attitude in the wealthy social set.

Started with the Civil War. The North East was mostly settled by the English, and the South was more dominated by the Scots, and there was a naturally occurring hatred just on the demographics alone.

The Civil War exacerbated this problem by giving these two groups even more reasons to hate each other.

Trump’s hateful rhetoric is causing immigrants and refugees to be targeted by right wing elements in the US and Europe generating a climate of fear.This climate of racism and fear is causing a few in immigrant communities to act out as a desperate means of survival against an unjust society which drove them out of their homes with endless wars and economic exploitation only to marginalize them when they arrive in Western countries. The solution obviously is to increase Muslim outreach programs and accommodate the immigrants culture and make the overall society more inclusive and welcoming of the new citizens and their social values.

We'll have to see how that flies.
