Someone described Comey as speaking “parseltongue” at the hearing - apt description. The FBI under Comey/McCabe appears to be a snakepit right now.
Yeah but this was in front of a Republican Congressional committee.
You can lie under oath to them and get away with it because it means nothing to lie to them.
They lie so much they would not recognize a truth if you handed them a box full of them.
If they had to start enforcing lies under oaths, the entire DC structure would shutdown
If the EO was wrtitten with surveilling presidential candidates in mind, this surveillance was planned well in advance, and was well thought out. I also want to know what the Brits did and for whom.
With an "investigation" going into Trump ties to Russia, Trump can't really fire Comey as the Dems and MSM would use that to call for Trumps impeachment. For Comey's part, the investigation is employment insurance. As is, the more Comey talks, the deeper he digs the hole and more likely it becomes he perjures himself, if he didn't already this past week.
I thought at the time that AG Sessions was very carefully wording his offer to recuse himself. He probably had this Russia False Narrative figured out all along.
The good news is that Mr. Trump has a bunch of truth-tellers on his team, and they don't have to sort out all of their lies before they make a public comment. - Refreshing.
I also suspect they have been using old-fashion methods of communication for some time, otherwise more would have been coming out.
Nunes is revealing the truth and Trump wins again. Trump tweets a drop of truth, all the game players start scurrying around to prove him as a liar. Their comments get refuted or supported. Dumb folks make dumb revealing admissions, then the carpet gets pulled out from under them.
You still can’t remotely hack power steering on pre-OBD2 cars. Or the power brakes, etc.
Thus his remarks that the investigation is not over. Comey would help his case if he were to prove the case is based on inside moves, like McCain's delivery of a dossier or unsupported intel from DNC sources to prove an investigation. There is always step one.
As in "This investigation is based on (blah, blah, blah)"
Law enforcement does not go off half-cocked just because they feel like it. Exceptions like Fast & Furious are exceptions.
When the Hillary e mail problems resurface, Coney will be in the big top center ring. All that is going on now is a hope to kill the trump presidency to prevent a hillary indictment.

Strongly agree. This is my position as well. Timing is everything. They needed a cause if they are going to ask him to resign, and they might have needed him under Sessions for a certain amount of time; the Trump administration could therefore keep a closer eye on him.
