ARTHUR FIELDS: “THE YANKEE DOODLE BLUES”

A pattern was beginning to emerge. When one of George’s songs from a revue caught on, a number of artists recorded it immediately. Word was getting around. This entry from 1922 had people standing in line to put it on shellac. Buddy DeSylva handled the lyrics.
