But mountain Mesa doesn’t ring a bell at all! About where it is it in relation to Ridgecrest.
Lancaster was an hour and a half away, Mojave an hour. And Bakersfield two hours. Back then Ridgecrest was so little we had to go to Lancaster or Bakersfield to even go to Home Depot.

Yes we did, Mountain Mesa is about 1-hour due east of Ridgecrest in the Kern river valley.
Ridgecrest now has a Homedepot along with a brand new Super Walmart and as you know is home to the Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake.
The towns north of Ridgecrest on 395 are Olancha, Lone Pine, Independence, Big Pine and Bishop...

That’s eye-opening Dolly. I remember the specials that Hannity did for a couple of years with Ansley (before she was on F&F) down in FL showing what was going on - pitiful! And to recently learn that some kids were spending their student loan money on Spring Breaks - just amazingly stupid - and then we’re supposed to forgo the loans???
I heard on the radio yesterday that an girl was arrested in FL for underage drinking. Her mom actually sent the Sheriff a thank you letter for arresting her daughter! Too bad more parents weren’t like that. I would have been in deep doo doo with my dad, the Sarge, had I done something like that.

I didn’t do the landscaping - much of it has been there since the early 50’s, except for the roses, which my mom planted some years ago. The weeds are another issue that I have to continually fight with and they drive me CRAZY - there are a lot of them, they’re tough to pull out and grow back right away. There seems to be a new type each year - the worst are the horsetails and this awful grass type weed that decided to grow around all of the roses.
I just have found some things I like to add to the front and back yards here and there, including solar lights - JoAnn’s, Costco, garage sales, hardware store, etc. There are sites on line or books you could get from the library or Home Depot to give you some ideas. Pick a theme and go for it! I have a couple of different themes - 1 in the front, 1 on the side and 1 in the back (maybe not kosher by some folk’s standards, but I like a variety). I’m sure you’ll do great.
You are so right, LG! They just want to keep throwing dispersions at and trying to delegitimize Trump. Keep throwing something at the wall, like spaghetti, and hope something sticks and/or enough LIV’s will believe them that Trump has ties to Russia and it’s so bad. This along with the impeachment meme - no one seems to add that if he’s impeachment (highly unlikely) that Pence will take over and then Ryan. K Street and the C of C may want Ryan, but I doubt Maxine would want Ryan or Pence.
