I’m just saying that the general public isnt going to care when they see the bill, and our side had better nix any idea that people are just going to see this as a “heros move” if there isnt some provisions to lesson the blow to their wallet, or at least a good faith effort.
You can live with the pain. A hell of a lot of others will put the pain on the GOP if they just repeal and say “see ya”.
Your reasoning seems to lead to the ‘Let’s make ocare better’ camp. Leaving it on the books in any way is a bad call, but taking responsibility for it from Dems is far more damaging politically. Further, the tweaks were fairly superficial. In fact some areas of the bill made ocare worse. How was that a good idea?
