The head of the House Intelligence Committee met with a White House source the day before he announced publicly that President Trump may have been “incidentally monitored” by US intelligence agencies after the election, according to a report on Monday.
“Chairman [Devin] Nunes met with his source at the White House grounds in order to have proximity to a secure location where he could view the information provided by the source,” his spokesman, Jack Langer, confirmed to NBC News. “The Chairman is extremely concerned by the possible improper unmasking of names of U.S. citizens, and he began looking into this issue even before President Trump tweeted his assertion that (Trump Tower) had been wiretapped.” SEE ALSO Nunes apologizes for going straight to Trump with surveillance info Nunes apologizes for going straight to Trump with surveillance info
Nunes, (R-Calif.) told CNN on Monday that he had been on the grounds “to confirm what I already knew,” but declined to elaborate so he wouldn’t “compromise sources and methods.”
Nunes, whose committee is investigating Russia’s interference in the 2016 presidential election, told reporters last Wednesday that he had information that showed Trump and his aides may have been swept up in surveillance of foreign government officials by US spy agencies.

They are trying to discredit Nunes and his claims by implying that he got the information from Trump or his surrogates. They need to destroy him so they can keep their narrative going. Fake news: Drip ... drip .... drip ...

Why was obama allowed to take all the computers from the White House and then had all new computers installed. I assume all the data and servers remained at the whitehouse since it’s government property.
Did Obama take evidence that he had been bugging / wire tapping Trump for a long time. Why has this information not come forward. I am sure Nunes and Gowdy are on top of it. But you wonder what the hell is going on in America.
The is that the government spies on all of us, all the time. Everything is captured and stored. Everyone in government knows this, but they don't want to publicly talk about it.
Obama abused this capability to try and stop Trump and wreck his presidency. Obama abused this powerful capability for political gain.
So, the problem is how does anyone prove Obama (and his cohorts) did this without talking about the capability itself? The intel agencies sure don't want to give up this capability, and Congress doesn't want the people to know they've been allowing this capability... so who's left to discuss the legality or illegality of Obama abusing these tools for political purposes?
