Great. Now it will be even harder for chronic pain sufferers to get pain meds.

Yup. Thanks to the meth heads buying up all the decongestants, I now have to show ID to buy pseudoephedrine.

I can only imagine the hoops pain sufferers will have to go through thanks to these idiots.

What is “harder” than getting legitimate prescriptions filled, by a reputable doctor?

That is the legal way to go.

The illegal system which Christie has been appointed to address, are illegal sources of prescription drugs, and heroin.

Heroin is said to be cheaper and easier to obtain, than prescription drugs.

I live in Pa, and have been watching the publicity on this with some interest.

As a retired marketing/advertising guy, here is what I see coming:

the politicians are orchestrating the 'war on opioids' (and by that I mean the lawful medications) to pave the way for broad public acceptance of marijuana as a controlled option for pain relief, relieving the stigma that the government created for weed as a 'gateway' to hard drugs.

While this is going on, those that are in the know are quietly acquiring the rights, property, permits, etc. for growing and distributing marijuana once it becomes broadly accepted as a substitute for opioids.

My first thought as well. They’ll take any number of misguided and stupid actions that will inconvenience only those with a legitimate need for the medicine, while affecting smuggling and criminal sales in no way.

Blame the druggies. They always ruin things for everyone else.

Yep, Christie is a drug warrior and statist through and through. Not hard to guess what his “solutions” will be.

“harder to get meds for chronic pain meds.”
my first thought too. As is typical the government solves a problem by punishing law abiding citizens.
