I’m not familiar with Bahaiism. However, even if he were Muslim, this would be wrong. You do not show your disapproval of someone’s culture by breaking into their home and spraying ugly messages everywhere. No, no, no! All you do is provoke backlash and promote mutual distrust.

We can’t always control who our neighbors are before they even move in, in fact usually, we can’t. Give this person or this household a chance to assimilate. It takes very little effort to get most new neighbors to trust you, or at least feel less apprehensive in your presence.
I’m all for preserving our American culture, but before I knew I was American, I was a Christian, and I was raised to treat others as I would wish to be treated. Give this new neighbor the benefit of a doubt. He may be okay.

Living a dozen miles west of Ground Zero in lower Manhattan, I view any action taken by Americans to keep Muslims (or those they perceive as Muslim) away from them as self defense. May sound cold or stupid or childish, but “We Know”...
