There have been GREAT snarky posts on this thread and GREAT thoughtful posts. I would only add to those that John’s wording is correct, there are indeed “stupid idiots.” He is one. Other kinds of idiots at least occasionally come up with an idea that is novel and clever, despite being “out there” most of the time. “Rain Man” was an example of an idiot savant. But, John McCain? Never had an original idea in his life. It wasn’t even his own original idea to take millions for himself in the Lincoln Savings and Loan scandal.
No McCain. Your Democrat party rammed Obamacare down our throats without a single Republican vote. Payback’s a bitch eh?
Time to face it: he is a democrat. He only pretends to be a republican for some reason. maybe his dad was a republican and he lacked the fortitude to say he wasn't; maybe his heiress wife wouldn't marry a democrat to he goes through the motions to keep the cash flowing; maybe he's just a politician that will say anything to get elected. I don't know. But he is no republican. So, like Chuck Schumer, he thinks it's okay when dems do it and intolerable when republicans do it.
Same as he ever was. I follow the same test I followed when I contemplated whether Obama was a muslim: what would he have done differently if he WAS a muslim? In Obama's case, I haven't found a thing. In McCain's case, he supported a couple of nominees and any war, any time, any place. But on the obstructionism, blocking, slamming the GOP in the media, all of that is no different than, say, Al Franken does. Pretty thin "GOP" credentials, really.

He evidently thinks that ever increasing government intrusion, the steady erosion of personal liberties, massive public debt, endless wars, a broken immigration system, professional politicians, and many other national problems are functioning pretty well. Political elites like the self-congratulatory McCain just want to pat themselves on the back for the “great job” they’re doing.
The reality is that the senate has been a party to moving the country FURTHER away from the vision and principles of the Founding Fathers.
